Let's take bolder action. Together.

The global climate change crisis calls for our collective efforts more than ever. That’s why we have joined forces with Protect Our Winters and committed partners from the outdoor industry to push for bolder action from European leaders at the upcoming COP27 in an open letter.

This is our time to act

Limiting the increase in global temperature to 1.5°C is going to be critical to avoid the most extreme impacts of climate change. To date, 193 countries have signed the Paris Agreement to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C. To do it, emissions need to be reduced by 45% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. However, time is running out to take action.

Goals of hope at COP27

On 6 November 2022, leaders from all around the globe will meet at the 27th UN Conference of the Parties (COP27) at Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Following the commitments made at COP26 in Glasgow last year, COP27 will bring governments together to accelerate global efforts to confront the climate crisis.

We are ready to step up. Are you?

If we are to maintain hope of limiting global warming, we need stronger, bolder climate policies.
We urge all policymakers at COP27 to do all they can to make this happen.
We demand: Take Action. Give hope.

Protecting our Basecamp Earth

We know that we can and must do more. That's why we never stop exploring new ways to reduce our impact on the planet to preserve our most important basecamp – for future generations to explore.

Move to 100% responsibly-sourced fabrics

We’re working towards making all of our products from recycled, regenerative, or responsibly-sourced renewable materials.

This means transitioning our top volume materials to either being recycled, responsibly-sourced renewable, or regenerative by 2025 for apparel and 2030 for footwear and equipment.

Accelerate sustainable packaging

Our goal is to eliminate single-use plastic packaging by 2025. In the meantime, we’re reducing the amount of product packaging and designing it to be recyclable.

We only use recycled content and/or third-party certified content (such as Forest Stewardship Council certified) for all our paper materials, like product hangtags and cardboard shipping boxes.

Minimise our suppliers’ and retailers’ environmental footprints

We’re committed to working with our suppliers to help them reduce their environmental footprint, with a goal of a 50% reduction by 2030.

Scale Circularity

We are developing circular systems to recycle previously owned gear and reuse the raw materials, keeping them out of waste streams.

This year, we’re launching our first products intentionally designed for circularity. We already have initiatives helping to keep used gear out of landfills, such as our Limited Warranty repairs programme and our instore take back programme. And through the continued roll-out of our Renewed Collection, we’re giving used gear a second chance at exploration.
