Arianna Tricomi proves style isn’t just for the park. This versatile Italian skier always brings her playful freestyle skills to the backcountry and big-mountain faces. And it’s earned her back-to-back Freeride World Tour wins in 2018 and 2019.
Born on the first of August 1992 in Corvara, Italy – the heart of the spectacularly scenic Dolomites – Arianna has been skiing since she was three years old and began competing in alpine ski racing several years later. By 16, after giving slopestyle a try, she realised her true passion lies on steep faces, out of bounds on big mountains. By 2012 she was competing and winning freeride competitions, and in 2015 she qualified for the Freeride World Tour, taking third place in her first year on the tour in 2016.
Fast-forward to 2018 and she stood atop the FWT podium in first place and went on to repeat this feat a year later. In 2020 she plans to defend her FWT title and continue to film and inspire others through her skiing.
